Andrew Mark Construction (AMC) is an established, stable, and growing San Francisco-based company that values hard work, reliability, and work-life balance. We specialize in remodels and renovations of High-End homes in San Francisco. We are looking for a superstar Carpenter to join our team!
Primary Function: Under the direction of the Lead Carpenter or Foreman, the Carpenter is responsible for assisting in job construction including framing and finish carpentry, managing field labor and materials, jobsite safety, accurately track time, and, most important, the “Scope of Work” is completed to Company’s standard of quality and professionalism.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Ensure the framing layout is per plan and Foreman’s layout
2. Direct Mid-Level Carpenter and or Laborer to complete tasks within a specified time frame
3. Work with Foreman to ensure all necessary tools, equipment, material, and labor are available to ensure all jobs run smoothly
4. Inventory materials when received on the jobsite
5. Job site clean-up and lock up
6. Accurately track time and tags daily
7. Have 100% safety standards on all jobsites
Skills, Qualifications, and Knowledge:
1. 5-7 years of experience as a carpenter, min 10 years in construction
2. Proficient use of all tools per mid-level Carpenter requirements, including but not limited to Router, chop saw, finish carpentry tools
3. Able to layout for cutting the roof, floor joists, floor and wall framing, stairs, etc.
4. The ability to plumb, line, and square framing
5. Layout with laser for level, square, and grades
6. Window installation per Company Waterproofing Procedure
7. Door installation
8. Must know when shoring is required
9. Ability to work independently
10. Able to complete task list in the order given
11. Basic plan reading ability, identify measurements, layout, ability to use a scale, and identify the basic scope of work
12. Able to communicate with Lead Carpenter and Foreman
13. Good verbal and writing skills
14. Basic knowledge of other trades
15. Must be able to read, write, and speak English (Spanish is an asset)
16. Clean DMV record and valid Driver’s license
17. Must provide own hand tools
18. Must provide own transportation to and from jobsite
