Primary Function: The Production & Estimating Manager’s role is to provide management for all phases of the construction project. Specifically, taking projects from the sales/design phase through contract completion, including estimating, coordinating teams, material, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.  The Production Manager will be assigned multiple projects and must thrive in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment. The Production Manager will directly supervise the Project Managers, Foremen, Journeymen, Carpenters, Laborers, and other crew members as assigned. In addition to the proceeding, the Production Manager will manage the relationships between subcontractors and AMC; constantly seeking new, quality-driven, subcontractors to join the AMC team and overseeing their performance on each project. The Production Manager will also take responsibility for Operations at AMC in the absence of the CEO.

Foremost Responsibilities:

  1. Holds primary responsibility in the field for the success of projects assigned, including detailed daily field reports, accurate and reliable time card management, communication with clients on a day-to-day basis, timely identification of problems, and proposal of creative solutions.

  2. 100% job safety and compliance in following all procedures and practices, conducting regular project progress meetings, and fostering teamwork among all involved parties.

  3. Responsible for managing daily activities on projects and originating change orders.

  4. Ensures proper subs and staffing on the job to complete work most effectively and efficiently.

  5. Maintains open, daily communication with clients, subcontractors, project managers, foreman, and field staff.

  6. Fosters a quality and results-driven, creative, "can do" attitude and shares responsibility for AMC and its department goals.

Skills, Qualifications, and Knowledge:

·         Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.), in a similar role for 4-6 years, and/or 15-20 years of construction experience.  

·         Practical construction knowledge with the ability to estimate, and read blueprints and plans.

·         Above-average computer and email management skills.

·         Strong knowledge of Construction Software: CoConstruct, Procore, Sage, etc.

·         Highly motivated, self-starter who is organized, with excellent time management skills.

·         Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates at all levels and from various backgrounds.

·         Commitment to excellence and high standards.

·         Excellent written and oral communication skills.

·         Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

·         Ability to manage priorities, and workflow, and to work as part of a team and independently.

·         Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

·         Demonstrated ability to plan, manage, and meet deadlines of multiple projects.

·         Ability to understand safety requirements and implement fail-safe standards and procedures. 

·         Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
